Affordable Child Care

Parents can’t rejoin the workforce if Child Care is so expensive that it costs as much as they make. Child Care needs to be more affordable and easier for families to access.

My ideas on how to solve this problem are as follows:

Reduce the Cost of Child Care by Offering a Tax Credit or a Tax Refund for all.

Reduce the Cost for some families by income, if a family makes below a certain amount, they will be eligible for Child Care at NO Cost to the Family.

Provide Child Care Centers with government subsidies or incentives so that they can employ more professionals, expand their care centers, and allow more children to be cared for, allowing more parents to go back to work.

Build more workplace child care centers, so that a person working in a large corporate workplace has childcare available to them, in the same building in which they work, so parents can visit their children on lunch breaks or on their 15 minute breaks, and children can be closer to their parents.
